Children's Department

Here's what you can expect on a Sunday morning at Walnut Grove Christian Church: Our foremost value is to create a worship experience that involves people of all ages. We believe in the beauty of families worshiping together, but we also understand the importance of parents being able to focus on the message while ensuring children have a meaningful experience.

To achieve this, after the communion portion of the service, we will invite children between the ages of 1 year old and 4th grade to join our Nursery/Children's Church. In the Nursery, children aged 1 year old to Pre-K will have the opportunity to play and hang out with kids their age. In Children's Church(kids K-4th) our dedicated volunteers will teach them relevant and meaningful lessons that apply to their young lives.

If you choose to stay for a Sunday Morning Small Group, we offer a continued program for the little ones, ensuring they have an engaging and age-appropriate experience. At this time we also have a small group for grades 5th-8th and 9th-12th.

Security

Every WGCC Children's Department volunteer is screened, participates in a background check, and is trained by a member of our Children's team. There are multiple volunteers in each classroom, ensuring children will never be left unattended.
