WGCC Kid's Department

Infant nursery: 0-1yr of age

This is a staffed area that is set up just for your baby.  Close to the sanctuary and adult Sunday school rooms it is easily accessible for parents to drop off their little ones.

Big Idea Teaching!

Kids ages 1-4yrs will play with their friends and have a snack with volunteer helpers. They are dismissed after communion to head downstairs. This is a staffed area across from the Sanctuary to keep your toddler engaged during the worship service.

Kids ages K-4th grade will learn a Bible story of the day from their teacher. They are also dismissed after communion to head downstairs.

Singing/Transition

After church is over, parents/guardians who are not planning on staying for small groups can pick their child up downstairs. Kiddos that are staying get to sing silly Bible songs led by a member of our Worship/Children's team.

Small Group Time

When singing/transition is over, kids K-4th grades will have discussion time with their teacher and the youth helpers. They will have some activities, like games, crafts and some object lessons.

The toddler class will have a Bible Story and a craft or activity.

Kiddos are dismissed when adult small groups are done.

Security

Every WGCC Children's Department volunteer is screened, participates in a background check and is trained by a member of our Children's team. There are multiple volunteers in each classroom, ensuring children will never be left unattended.

There are also individuals monitoring our hallways throughout the service making sure everyone stays secure.

The Buddy System

If your child would like to attend Children’s Church and would need some assistance for that, we have a buddy system program in place to meet those needs. In this program your child will get to know one or two church members who will attend the children’s classes with him so he can learn with age-level peers. Your child’s “buddy” will be there to help with anything he might need during the service, similar to having a one-on-one aide in a school classroom. If you would prefer for your child to stay with you during the church service, everyone is more than welcome to remain in the sanctuary.
